MBC Unveils Special Teaser for Upcoming Drama Motel California
MBC’s upcoming drama Motel California has shared a special teaser full of warm Christmas vibes! The series is based on Shim Yoon Seo’s 2019 novel Home, Bitter Home and tells the story of Ji Kang Hee (played by Lee Se Young), a woman who grew up in a small rural motel called Motel California. After leaving her hometown to start fresh, she returns 12 years later and crosses paths with her first love and childhood friend, Cheon Yeon Soo (played by Na In Woo). This heartfelt romance drama promises a mix of nostalgia, love, and second chances.
Choi Min Soo plays Ji Chun Pil, the quirky and carefree father of Kang Hee, and the owner of the Motel California in the countryside. On December 25, Motel California released a special teaser to celebrate Christmas.
The teaser begins with the residents of Hana Village throwing a fun party in the motel lobby. But instead of singing a Christmas carol, they sing a birthday song. It turns out that Ji Chun Pil and Ji Kang Hee share the same birthday—December 25! While Ji Chun Pil is full of energy and excitement, Kang Hee looks annoyed and says, “I don’t want birthday congratulations from you, Mr. Chun Pil,” making for a humorous and unexpected moment.
