Kim Min Jung Joins Check in Hanyang for Special Appearance, Teaser Released

Kim Min Jung will appear in a special cameo role in the K-drama Check in Hanyang. On December 27, Channel A shared photos of her appearance.
This will be Kim Min Jung’s first K-drama in 2024. Her last drama was The Devil Judge, which aired in 2021. In that series, she worked with Ji Sung, Park Jin Young, Park Gyu Young, Jeon Chae Eun, and Kim Jae Kyung.
Check in Hanyang is a romantic comedy set during the Joseon Dynasty. It follows the stories of three men and one woman who all enter Yongcheonru, the biggest guest house in Joseon. The main cast includes Bae In Hyuk, Kim Ji Eun, Jung Gun Joo, DKZ’s Park Jae Chan, and Han Jae Suk.
This K-drama is directed by Myung Hyun Woo, known for My Man Is Cupid and Miracle, and written by Park Hyun Jin, who worked on Love and Leashes and Like for Likes.
Kim Min Jung plays the role of Seol Mae Hwa, the general manager of Yongcheonru. In the drama, she will explore her character’s relationship with Hong Deok Su, played by Kim Ji Eun.
Kim Min Jung also made a special cameo in the Netflix original K-drama Daily Dose of Sunshine. This series, led by talented actors such as Park Bo Young, Yeon Woo Jin, Jang Dong Yoon, Lee Jung Eun, Lee Yi Dam, and Lee Sang Hee, has gained attention for its heartwarming and emotional storyline. Kim Min Jung’s brief yet impactful appearance added to the drama’s appeal, showcasing her versatility in different roles.
Check in Hanyang marks Kim Min Jung’s return to the historical genre after six years. Her last significant role in a historical K-drama was in 2018, when she made a strong impact in Mr. Sunshine, a critically acclaimed series set in the late 19th century.
