Han Ji Min and Kim Hye Soo's Upcoming K-Dramas Canceled After Jeju Air Tragedy

To honor those affected by the recent Jeju Air flight disaster, the press conferences for the upcoming K-dramas Unmasked and Love Scout have been canceled. On December 30, media outlets reported that Disney+ and SBS decided to postpone these events. Unmasked, starring Kim Hye Soo and Jung Sung Il, and Love Scout, featuring Han Ji Min and Lee Joon Hyuk, were originally planned to hold their press conferences on January 3.

Even though the press conference for the K-drama was canceled, Disney+ confirmed that Unmasked will still air as planned. However, SBS has not announced whether Love Scout will keep its original airing date.

Yesterday, a terrible tragedy occurred at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla Province when Jeju Air Flight 7C2216, arriving from Bangkok, Thailand, crashed during landing and caught fire. The accident claimed the lives of 179 out of 181 passengers, leaving only two crew members alive. To honor the victims, the government declared January 4th as a national day of mourning.

The entertainment industry is also mourning this heartbreaking loss, with many shows and broadcasts being canceled out of respect.

Unmasked is a comedy K-drama about a team leader named Trigger, who works to solve mysterious events while trying to save their program from being canceled. The show will premiere on January 15 with a total of 12 episodes, exclusively on Disney+.

On the other hand, Love Scout tells the romantic story of a successful CEO, who is great at her job but inexperienced in love, and her secretary, a single father who is an expert at parenting and housework. This K-drama will premiere on January 3 at 10 PM. It will air on SBS and be available globally on Netflix.
