BLACKPINK’s Kim Ji Soo and Seo In Guk’s highly anticipated fantasy romance K-drama Boyfriend on Demand is reportedly set to premiere on Netflix. According to a report by TenAsia, the drama, which was initially planned for a broadcast release on MBC, will now be exclusively available on the global streaming platform. This shift to Netflix is expected to bring the series to a wider international audience, increasing its global reach and accessibility.
Boyfriend on Demand is slated for a 2026 release, with fans eagerly awaiting more details about its storyline and production. The drama will mark Kim Ji Soo’s return to the small screen following her previous success in Snowdrop, while Seo In Guk, known for his diverse roles, will bring his signature charm to the series. Boyfriend on Demand explores the intriguing world of virtual romance, following individuals who subscribe to a service offering virtual boyfriends. The story centers on Seo Mi Rae, a webtoon producer who turns to a digital dating simulation called Monthly Boyfriend in her quest for love.
The drama boasts a talented cast, including Kim Ji Soo, Seo In Guk, Ryu Abel, Park Ji Ho, Kang Min Woo, and Song Ha Na. With their performances, the series aims to bring both heartfelt and thought-provoking moments to the screen.

Kim Ji Soo and Seo In Guk recently wrapped up filming in the Philippines, adding an international flair to the production. While Boyfriend on Demand is set for a 2026 release, its exact premiere date has yet to be confirmed.
Kim Ji Soo takes on the role of Seo Mi Rae, a webtoon producer who desires a risk-free love life. She embarks on an unusual journey of romance, dating 900 virtual boyfriends through a digital simulation called Monthly Boyfriend.

This will be Kim Ji Soo’s second upcoming K-drama. She is currently starring in the Coupang Play original series Newtopia alongside Park Jeong Min. Additionally, she is set to appear in the highly anticipated film Omniscient Reader: The Prophet, where she will share the screen with Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Min Ho, Chae Soo Bin, After School’s Nana, and Shin Seung Ho.
Meanwhile, Seo In Guk will portray Park Gyeong Nam, adding depth to the series with his versatile acting.

This marks Seo In Guk’s fifth upcoming K-drama. He is also set to lead several other projects, including Twelve, Smoking Gun, Literalism, and In Your Brilliant Season, further solidifying his busy and exciting year ahead.
