The upcoming zombie K-drama Newtopia has unveiled an exciting teaser and poster featuring BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Park Jung Min. As anticipation builds, the teaser offers a glimpse of the intense storyline, which follows a couple’s desperate journey to reunite amidst a deadly zombie outbreak in the city.
Based on Han Sang Woon’s novel Influenza, Newtopia follows Jaeyoon, a soldier, and his ex-girlfriend Youngjoo as they battle through a zombie-infested high-rise in Seoul. Amid the chaos, Jaeyoon evolves from an insecure soldier into a confident leader, while Youngjoo discovers newfound strength in her relentless fight to survive.
On January 24, 2025, the production team of Newtopia released a thrilling teaser featuring Jisoo and Park Jung Min. The teaser introduces Jae Yoon, a soldier struggling to complete his service, and Young Joo, who faces loneliness after her boyfriend’s enlistment, as they navigate a sudden zombie outbreak.
Amid the chaos, the tagline, “I’ll survive no matter what and come running to you,” captures their unwavering determination to reunite. Highlights include Jae Yoon battling zombies with a fiery shopping cart and Young Joo charging through the horde on an electric scooter, wielding a chainsaw in a wildly unconventional fight for survival.
A newly released poster for Newtopia captures the intense tension as Jae Yoon and Young Joo face a zombie-ravaged Seoul.
