Nana Joins the Cast of Netflix’s Historical Drama Scandal

Actor Nana has been offered a role alongside Son Ye Jin and Ji Chang Wook in the upcoming Netflix drama Scandal. On February 27, media reports revealed that After School’s Nana is set to join the cast of the K-drama remake of the 2003 film Untold Scandal.
Nana’s agency, Sublime, has addressed the casting reports, stating, “Nana has received an offer to star in Scandal, and she is currently reviewing it positively.”
If she joins the project, Scandal would mark Nana’s return to Netflix. Her last appearance on the platform was in the 2023 original series Mask Girl, where she starred alongside Lee Han Byeol, Go Hyun Jung, Ahn Jae Hong, Yeom Hye Ran, and Shin Ye Seo.
In addition to Scandal, Nana is also set to star in the upcoming crime thriller Climax, sharing the screen with Ha Ji Won, Ju Ji Hoon, Oh Jung Se, and Cha Joo Young.
She is further expanding her film career with roles in Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy, alongside Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Min Ho, Chae Soo Bin, Shin Seung Ho, and BLACKPINK’s Kim Ji Soo, as well as Andong, where she will star alongside Byun Yo Han.
Scandal is a remake of the 2003 film, inspired by the French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos-de-Laclos. The K-drama will be set during the Joseon Dynasty, blending historical elements with a story of love, betrayal, and power. The drama will be directed by Jung Ji Woo, known for Somebody, Tune in for Love, and Heart Blackened.
The star-studded cast includes Son Ye Jin, Ji Chang Wook, SECRET’s Han Sun Hwa, and SF9’s Chani. Nana is reportedly set to portray Madam Suk, a widow who has remained celibate for nine years — a role originally played by actress Jeon Do Yeon in the 2003 film.
Filming is expected to begin between late March and early April, with the drama set to premiere on Netflix with a total of eight episodes.
