Ahn Eun-jin Special Appearance in Upcoming K-drama Resident Playbook
Will actress Ahn Eun-jin make a special appearance in tvN’s upcoming drama Resident Playbook ?
On March 4, the production team of Resident Playbook responded to reports about Ahn Eun-jin’s possible cameo, stating, “Please check through the broadcast.”
Previously, it was reported that Hospital Playlist stars Jung Kyung-ho and Yoo Yeon-seok would be making special appearances in Resident Playbook. Now, with speculation surrounding Ahn Eun-jin’s involvement, fans are eagerly anticipating whether all three actors will reunite in the new series.
Acording to Source, Set to premiere in April, Resident Playbook is the latest work from director Shin Won-ho and writer Lee Woo-jung, the creative duo behind the hit Hospital Playlist series, which aired in two seasons in 2020 and 2021. This time, Shin and Lee take on the role of creators, while writer Kim Song-hee and director Lee Min-soo handle the script and direction.
Unlike Hospital Playlist, which focused on five senior doctors, Resident Playbook follows the lives, friendships, and struggles of OB-GYN residents at Jongno Yulje Hospital, a branch of the main Yulje Medical Center. The drama boasts a cast of rising stars, including Go Youn-jung, Shin Si-a, Han Ye-ji, and Kang Yoo-seok.
Originally scheduled to air in the first half of last year, Resident Playbook faced multiple delays due to the nationwide medical resident strike and the resulting controversy surrounding the medical community. Now, after much anticipation, the drama is finally set to air, and fans are eager to see if their favorite Hospital Playlist actors will make an appearance.
